Palm Beach Pines State Recreation Area - Palm Beach, FL
Lexie and Russ joined us today as part of their honeymoon celebration, this was our first trip out since Tropical Storm Nicole stopped by. The water cleared up at 150 feet, but there was no troll bite. We invested an hour and half into trolling and then I pulled the plug and started drift fishing. The bottom fishing was on fire !! Lexie and Russ were novice anglers but they were pulling fish in two at a time. We had red groupers, mutton snappers, big yellowtail snappers, mangrove snapper, squirrel fish, French grunts, and sand tilefish. They left the dock with big smiles and a big bag of fillets.
