<p><div>Roy brought his wife and son out today and we started the trip out with a bang! Trolling straight out of the inlet we hooked a good one on one of the Penn 50’s. From the initial run we knew this was a big fish ! 14 year old Cyrus did a great job and we boated a 55 pound wahoo! Not  a bad start to the trip. A little while later Sarah caught a Bonita which we recycled into bottom fishing bait which produced a couple of yellow tail and Lane snappers as well as grunts and other reef fish. As the clock was winding down a cold front came through sith wind and rain, do we ran back go the barn.</div></p>

<p><div>Mike and Mark joined us today for a beautiful day on the water, low humidity and hungy fish ! We started out trolling and boated 10 Bullet Bonita, we kept 4 for bait and released the rest. We also caught a very nive skipjack tuna on the troll, he was released onto sesame oil on a hot grill later in the day ! On the drift we caught snappers, grunts, sand tiles, and triggers. The boys had a great yime and took home some tasty fillets. </div></p>

Back at it !

<p><p></p><div>Taylor and Hermilo joined us today for a split trolling and drift fishing charter. The water inshore is still very dirty from all of the rain so I pushed further offshore then usual today. At 490 feet we had a good wahoo hit that took a lot of drag, but when Taylor started winding, the fish just opened his mouth and the hook dropped right out !!! Needless to say, I wasnt happy !! Hermilo saved the day when a short time later he  brought in a blackfin tuna . On the drift they brought in some nice vermillion snappers, short muttons and a blue runner. On the</div><div>troll home we picked up a Bonita, back at the dock the tuna and snappers were invited to lunch at the Marina restaurant!</div><p></p></p>

We staryed trolling and caught  8 or 10 bonita, but they were all bullets, the big ones werent to be found today. When we switched over to drift fishing we got a couple of French Grunts bit the bottom bite was way off too! I put in extra time today, but i was disappointed in the bite !</div></p>

<p><div>Tyler brought his family out today and we had a great time. On the troll we released a very large bonita and boated a nice Blackfin Tuna. On the drift we were catching Grunts and Sand Tiles when when of our flatlines with live bait started screaming.  After a team effort we boated a 35 pound King Mackerel. Back at the dock, while cleaning the catch, the Jack Crevalles, Nurse Shark, Goliath Grouper and Eagle Ray put on a show for the family </div></p>

Trolling and Drift Fishing Palm Beach

When we went on the drift, the reef fish taught them new lessons ! Troll and Drift Fishing Palm Beach 

<p><div>Mark and his buddies joined us today for some trolling offshore. We started off with a bang, boating a bonita and missing a sailfish which corkscrewed a wire leader into oblivion! Next up were a pair of nice blackfin tuna, and then we had another bonita jump on. The bite then died, we went on the drift but both live and dead baits were ignored. We ran back to the marina and the guys had a great lunch at the marina restaurant, you can’t beat fresh caught tuna !</div></p>

<p><div>Frank brought his college buddies out today, and it was an unusual day. We started out trolling and the weeds finally gave me a break but the fish were on strike ! We trolled for two hours and had one missed bite. Switching over to drift fishing, we started getting King Mackerel and  bonita bites, so fast that as soon as i would throw out a rigged sardine, it would get bit. We were fishing 30 pound line on spinners so the charter had a blast. The bottom current was screaming but the guys had so much fun on the top water action, they didn’t care about the snappers. <p><div>Austin and Russel joined us today and we went right to drift fishing because the weed offshore was terrible. The guys quickly figured out the bite and were soon boating tilefish, grunts, and some really nice yellowtail snappers. While they were fishing the bottom, I was laying out flatlines with livebait and the bonita were hammering the live sardines. It was beautiful out there and the guys had a great time and left the marina with a big bag of fillets.</div></p>

<p><p></p><div>Austin and Nathan joined us today and we went right to drift fishing because the weed offshore is still a problem for trolling. Drift fishing was great, with Sand Tiles and Grunts coming up regularly. Highlight of the trip was some really nice Yellowtail snappers that kept coming up. At the same time, the live bait rods kept hooking large bonitas, so our anglers were kept very busy. This was a great trip and our anglers went home with a large bag of fillets.</div><p></p></p>

<p><div>Danny and Alison joined us today, and because the weeds have been so bad on the troll we went straight to drifting today. There was no wind so the kite was not an option either. The ocean was absolutely flat and there was no breeze, the current had us drifting at 1.5 knots, perfect for bottom fishing. My anglers started banging away at grunts, sand tiles, and triggerfish, and small snappers.  This trip was perfect for new anglers ! Before we knew it, it was time to head back and Danny and Alison took some of their catch up to the marina restaurant for a great lunch !</div></p>

Drift Fishing Palm Beach

<p><div>Steve brought his sons and grandson fishing today. We started out trolling, but the weeds were horrible out to 400 foot deep so after 2 hours with no bites and tons of weeds we gave up on trolling. Then we tried deep drifting live baits. We started in  400 foot again and let the boat find itself in on the drift. The wind pushed us from 400 feet inshore to 150 feet. No bites untill 150 where the king mackerel bit off both live baits. Ok, three hours into the trip and nothing in the box… lets wind em up and I run north of the inlet. I put the boat on the drift and let my people drift fish in 100 feet of water.,,. game on ! Big porgies, yellowtails, grunts, sand tiles, happy fisherman !</div></p>

Great Drift Fishing Palm Beach

<p><div>Glenn and Reece joined us today and we hesded south looking for Mahi and Blackfin Tuna. This was our first time out after 5 days of northeast wind so I didnt know what to expect. While trolling south we caught the smallest Blackfin i have ever seen, he was quickly released. I mean little fish with a big attitude! While trolling I tealized there was no current, and I think thats what accounted for the lack of bites. On the drift we finally teased up a small mahi off of the kite, and the deep lines produced 3 of the largest bonita I have seen in a long time ! Time ran out and we headed home and Glenn and Reece had a great mahi lunch at the Marina restaurant.</div></p>

<p><div>Nick brought his sons out today and we had a simply awesome trip. We started out trolling to the south and picked up one small blackfin tuna and a bonita. When we went on the drift and put up the kite, we picked up a double header of 46 inch mahi. After the chaos settled down and we got the kite unwrapped around the tower we reset our lines and soon picked up a double header of a sailfish and a 40 inch king mackerel! This is pretty good fishing in anybody’s book, and thats ehy i love fishing here in Palm Beach !</div></p>

Awesome Drift Fishing Palm Beach

<p><p></p><div>Sarah and Aryah came out today for a banner day of fishing. We started out trolling and north of the inlet we hooked up with a large mahi that took a good half hour to get to the boat. The ladies had to double team this fish and when we got it in the boat it measured 52 inches and probably weighed around 35 pounds. After all this excitement we decided to try drift fishing in the deep for a blackfin tuna. We just got the lines out when two rods went off. One had a small mahi about 24 inches long which came into the boat pretty quickly, the other had a large blackfin tuna about 15 pounds which broke the leader right at boatside. We got the lines reset and at this point had drifted inshore and then a deep line went off and we boated a nice king mackerel ! We were out of time and sailed home on flat seas. </div><p></p></p>

<p><p>Hot bite and happy crew! Oleg joined us for our 6 Hour Variety Fishing adventure this spring, heading out early morning under partly cloudy skies. The weather was perfect for getting offshore, and we had great conditions to work with throughout the day. This was exactly what we needed for a solid day of Palm Beach fishing with Tuna Wahoo Charters!</p><p>With our gear rigged and ready, we started out trolling the offshore waters before switching over to drift fishing and bottom fishing techniques. Oleg picked up some nice King Mackerel, plus we had Little Tunny and Spanish Mackerel jumping on the lines too! Palm Beach waters are perfect for this kind of variety fishing - the offshore structure holds bait and the current brings in the pelagics. We wrapped up the trip with bent rods all morning and smiles all around!</p><p>The bite was hot out there today, and that's exactly what makes Palm Beach such a productive fishing destination.
