Right from the start, young Cruz was fired up and ready to go. This was his first time fishing in the ocean, and you could tell he was hooked (no pun intended!) as soon as we started jigging and trolling. It didn't take long before his rod bent hard—he'd hooked into a feisty Bonita that put up one heck of a fight. After a few heart-pounding minutes, he managed to land it, grinning from ear to ear. That first catch really got his confidence going, and he was locked in for the rest of the trip.

Meanwhile, Dad was working some heavier tackle, using live bait and kite fishing techniques to target the bigger offshore species. He reeled in a nice Great Barracuda and a few chunky Little Tunny that had us all cheering. He also hooked into a nice Queen Trigger fish, It was an awesome sight, and he played each of the fish to perfection, getting them safely in the boat.
